چکیده

On 4 August 2020, a strong explosion occurred near the Beirut seaport, Lebanon and killed more than 200 people damaged numerous buildings in vicinity. As Amonium Nitrate (AN) caused explosion, many studies claimed release of large amounts NO2 atmosphere may have resulted health hazard In order to reasonably evaluate significance released atmosphere, it is important investigate spatio-temporal distribution during after blast compare average day-to-day background emissions from vehicle ship traffic Beirut. present study, we use Sentinel-5 TROPOMI data study close affected area prior, during, (28 July–8 2020). Analysis shows an increase concentrations over up about 1.8 mol/m2 one day that was gradually dissipated days. Seven days before (on 28 July 2020) concentration was, however, observed be 4.3 Beirut, which mostly attributed Lebanon, ships passing by seaport possibly militant activities Syria 20–26 July. It found temporarily spatially limited NO2. The coastal areas while did not much effect on inland regions. are also analyzed for Greater Cairo Area (GCA), Suez Canal, Egypt, Nicosia, Cyprus confirm human activities, vehicles, relatively high low populated zones.

Enhanced carbon dioxide outgassing from the eastern equatorial Atlantic during the last glacial

Biological productivity and carbon export in the equatorial Atlantic are thought to have been dramatically higher during the last glacial period than during the Holocene. Here we reconstruct the pH and CO2 content of surface waters from the eastern equatorial Atlantic Ocean over the past ~30 k.y. using the boron isotope composition of Globigerinoides ruber (a mixed-layer–dwelling planktic foram...

the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

Nitrogen dioxide formation during inhaled nitric oxide therapy.

BACKGROUND Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is a toxic by-product of inhalation therapy with nitric oxide (NO). The rate of NO2 formation during NO therapy is controversial. METHODS The formation of NO2 was studied under dynamic flows emulating a base case NO ventilator mixture containing 80 ppm NO in a 90% oxygen matrix. The difficulty in measuring NO2 concentrations below 2 ppm accurately was overcom...

The Patient Experience in Ontario 2020: What Is Possible?

Words are important. They signal an intention behind a thought. So when Ontario's Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care publishes an action plan (Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, 2012) that declares itself to be "obsessively patient-centred," curiosity ensues and terms abound. Patient-centred care, patient engagement and patient experience - all seem to be in the mix in Ontario. T...
